self-contained luxury retreat on Bruny Island
Dennes Point
Historic Dennes Point was the original gateway to North Bruny from before the turn of the century until the advent of the vehicular ferry 1954.
Settled by captain James Kelly in the 1800's, nearby Bull Bay was a major whaling station in the 1820's.
Barren Hill is one of the many habitats on the island of the forty spotted pardalote.
A great boating and fishing spot, Dennes Point is a safe swimming beach and picnic area.
A haven for wildlife and a bird-watchers paradise. Spectacular views of the Channel and Derwent estuary.
Nebraska Beach, approx. 3 kms long and the site of many treasure hunts since the wreck of theHope
in 1827. Bligh's Rocks, a short walk along Nebraska Beach is well worth a visit and many Xanthorrhoea (grass trees), most of which have been growing since before white settlement, are abundant in this area.
